Project Description
Hi! My name is Gloria Taylor. I have worked as an Evaluator for Progressive Early Assessments (PEA) since its establishment in 2014. In my role as an Evaluator, I have had extensive training and experience in evaluating early childhood programs throughout the State of California, using the ECERS-R, ITERS, and FCCERS instruments and in the use of the Pre-K, Toddler, and Infant CLASS tools as well. I have a Baccalaureate degree in Child Development from San Diego State University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education, from Northern Arizona University. Prior to my work with PEA, I have worked in various capacities in the Child Development profession for many years. I have owned two of my own family child care programs; been a Preschool Teacher in early childhood education programs; been a Director of a community college developmental lab school and an Early Studies Department Chair; been a Director in State and Federally-funded child development programs; have taught and continue to teach, Child Development classes at both the community college and university level; and have worked as a Bi-Lingual Child Development Specialist in programs dealing with children born at risk for developmental delays and/or born with special needs. I am the proud mother of two wonderful boys and blessed to be the grandmother of two beautiful grand-daughters, where we are all enjoying life here in Northern and on the Central Coast in California.
